Centres for the Unemployed/ICTU Centres, other collaboration with local centres (in relation to the unemployed)

The Resource Centre for the Unemployed is the sponsor of the new initiative with young unemployed adults adopted for the RAPID area and based on a collaboration with Drogheda Borough Council. (Drogheda Training initiative) Other than this initiative we have no contact with RCU.

FAS locally has taken the delivery of Jobclub away from LES and given it by contract to RCU to manage for a variety of reasons. This is in spite of local written guarantees that Partnership would be involved in the future management of any Jobclub activity. We are most dissatisfied with this position and may challenge it during 2006.
